RST III Bass/Mid Driver & Motor System
The all-new RST III C-CAM cone and motor system in the Radius 4G represents a significant evolution in Monitor Audio’s metal cone and driver technology. The bass/mid drivers have undergone full FEA optimisation, improving driver surround, spider and chassis design to reduce breakup and reduce resonances.
Larger magnets, improved voice coil, and enhanced venting, it delivers greater control, reduced distortion and improved dynamic range. Complementing this is the new C-CAM Gold Dome Tweeter with an optimised UD Waveguide, ensuring smooth, extended high frequencies, precise dispersion, and seamless integration with the RST III driver. The result is a speaker that offers remarkable clarity, punch, and immersive high-fidelity performance in a compact, versatile form.
Through-Bolt Driver Bracing
Through-bolt driver technology secures each driver directly to the cabinet via a tensioned bolt running through to the rear panel, allowing the drive units to be precisely braced and tightened to an exact torque. This creates a rigid, low-resonance structure that ensures both driver and cabinet remain structurally strong, significantly reducing unwanted chassis and cabinet vibrations. The result is lower colouration, improved clarity, tighter bass, and a more controlled, refined overall performance.
HiVe II Port Technology
The refined HiVe Il ports on Radius 4G are engineered to deliver cleaner, faster airflow, reducing turbulence and minimising unwanted chuffing. On the all-new Radius 3 model, the ports have been enlarged by 50% compared to the previous generation, further enhancing smooth airflow and delivering tighter, more controlled bass performance.
Crossover
The Radius 4G features carefully engineered crossovers, each is optimised to deliver seamless integration between the C-CAM Gold Dome Tweeter and RST III driver. Precision components ensure smooth, balanced frequency response, tight imaging, and coherent sound, allowing the speaker to reproduce music and dialogue with clarity, impact, and true high-fidelity accuracy.
Wall Brackets
The Radius 1 and Radius 3 can be mounted on walls using the MASM and FIX-M brackets, respectively. Both solutions provide straightforward installation while offering flexible orientation and adjustable angles, allowing the speaker to be positioned precisely for optimal performance in any space.
Floor Stand
The custom-designed Radius Floor Stand combines style with stability. Its wooden tripod legs provide a modern, contemporary aesthetic while offering a secure and sturdy base. The Radius 1 or Radius 3 attaches easily with a single bolt, and speaker cables can be neatly routed from the terminals down through the stand, exiting at the base for a clean, uncluttered appearance.
Desk Pad
Designed for the Radius 1 and Radius 3, the Desk Pad provides a stable, secure platform for desktop placement of either speaker. Crafted from precision-engineered rubber with specific hardness for effective vibration isolation, it minimises unwanted resonance while enhancing clarity. The Desk Pad also offers a subtle upward tilt, angling the speakers for optimal sonic performance in desktop environments.
