Listening Optimizer – The size and shape of each person’s ears and head are uniquely
different – as are the acoustics and surroundings they find themselves in each day – which greatly impacts the way sound is interpreted.
Listening Optimizer utilizes microphones to make constant measurements (every 20 seconds) and advanced processing to analyze factors such as seal and air leakage. Playback is optimized in real time to correct the difference between the source and the actual listening condition, delivering a sound customized to the individual listener.
Advanced ANC – Active noise cancelling has a reputation for losing low-frequency signals during music playback. Advanced ANC takes a new approach, suppressing ambient noise without applying any processing to the music signal.
Using internal microphones and a new, unique algorithm from Yamaha, the headphones separate signal processing of background noise and music. The headphones analyze the noise collected by the internal microphones and calculate what should be removed from the playback music signal, so that only noise is erased. This means no unnecessary processing of the music signal, preserving the purity of the music.
Ambient Sound – Listening through headphones or earphones helps to block out the world and immerse yourself in your music or audio. However, blocking out the world may also mean blocking out important noises, such as an ambulance siren, car horn or public transit announcement. Such important sounds may be necessary for you to avoid a potential accident or ensure you arrive at your destination on time.
The Ambient Sound mode uses built-in microphones to capture external sounds, presenting them in the background of your audio content, keeping you fully aware of your surroundings.
Listening Care – With typical headphones, low-volume listening goes hand-in-hand with a pronounced reduction of certain frequency ranges, resulting in listeners cranking up the volume to levels that may affect long-term hearing health.
Listening Care solves for this, encouraging lower-volume listening by intelligently adjusting sound frequencies to maintain the full-range sound, allowing you to hear every note and not miss a beat.
