Ideal for both music and movies, the large in-ceiling C2L-T2X allows the user to switch between Music mode for wide dispersion and Movie mode for spatial effects. It is a two-way model featuring an RST II dual-coil bass driver and two C-CAM tweeters.

C2L-T2X has three modes:

• Cinema Mono FX (Di-pole, tweeters out of phase)
• Mono Wide Dispersion (Bi-Pole, tweeters in phase)
• Single Speaker Stereo (two binding posts accepting connection to two separate amplifier channels)

C2L-T2X is ideal used as rear surround channels, within corridors or large areas where maximum coverage is required, and in compact areas where there isn’t space to fit two speakers.

This really is the last word in installed performance, featuring an RDT III bass driver, IDC II mid-range driver and IDC II tweeter with UD Waveguide II. This high-end combination ensures levels of acoustic transparency and detail found in Monitor Audio’s premium loudspeaker ranges, where much of this acoustic technology was developed. It has a cut out diameter of 248 mm and uses the patented Quik-Link speaker cable connecter, which revolutionises the ease and speed of speaker installation. Tri-Grip has also been evolved for simple, reliable and strong fitment.

Technology

Thanks to its round profile, the RC-60i looks just like a lighting fixture so it will blend into your ceiling without calling attention to itself. But they sound so much better than your typical in-ceiling speakers that resemble a watering spout.

• Durable, computer-modeled, injection-moulded butyl rubber surrounds suppress unwanted cone resonances for a lifetime of reliable sound.
• Aimable swivel tweeters for greater accuracy and more realistic imaging. (All models except RC-6s.)
• Polk’s proprietary, patented Dynamic Balance® technology allows our engineers to design out distortion-causing driver and system resonances, so you only hear the good sounds.
• Klippel motor optimisation uses laser measurement technology to ensure a smooth excursion path at either end of the volume spectrum for uniform performance at both low and high volumes.
• Rustproof stainless steel hardware, durable butyl rubber surrounds and powder coated aluminium (in-ceiling) & painted steel (in-wall) grilles make RCi Series speakers suitable for high moisture areas like bathrooms, transitional spaces or even under eaves or in the ceiling of an enclosed porch. (RCi series are not suitable for exposed outdoor use. For outdoor speaker fun, use our Atrium® Series.)
• Paintable grilles let you build them in, and then forget all about them; RCi Series speakers practically disappear into any room.
• RCi Series speakers are timbre-matched to other Polk speakers to insure utterly seamless blending from speaker to speaker in systems that combine traditional and built-in speakers.

The hybrid back-box provides the best of all worlds for installer and customer. Combined, the three proprietary 3″ mid-bass units achieve the bass output of a 6 1/2″ driver, all from a super-stealthy flush-fitted profile.

In keeping with Monitor Audio’s renowned design rigour, the crossover comprises high quality film capacitors and low loss inductors – selected for signal integrity – ensuring peerless audio detail and dynamics from a speaker of its size and application. When the CSS230 is in ‘ported’ mode, a fine gauze protects the acoustic system from dust ingress.
